Human Resources Generalist

The primary purpose of the Human Resources Generalist is to support the Human Resources Manager in all aspects of recruitment and onboarding, processing necessary paperwork through employment life cycle, assisting with employee recognition and training programs and assisting with running the daily functions of Human Resources.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists with recruiting process for open positions; collaborates with HR Manager
  • Attend job fairs to promote Bainbridge Senior Living as employer of choice
  • Answer phone calls and returns emails in a timely manner to employees
  • Conducts and acquires background checks and reference checks
  • Assists with new hire orientation and employee recognition programs and provides input to HR Manager on improving these programs
  • Utilizes established Learning Management System to track credentials and continuing education requirements per Assisted Living facility regulations
  • Assists with tracking metrics related to the human resources functions
  • Completes verification of employment requests in a timely manner
  • Performs tasks related to payroll and benefits, as needed
  • Maintains current HR files and database
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D) required. Associates’ degree in Business Administration/Human Resources preferred or equivalent experience. High level of proficiency preferred with most computer software programs, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Suite, Human Resource Information Systems, Gmail and Learning Management Systems
